Prosecutors Present Evidence in High-Profile Case
In the ongoing murder trial of Karen Read, Massachusetts State Police Sgt. Michael Proctor resumed his testimony on Thursday in Norfolk Superior Court in Dedham.
Read is accused of driving drunk and hitting her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O'Keefe, in January 2022. Prosecutors allege that she left O'Keefe to die at the scene of the crash.
Proctor, the lead investigator in the case, presented evidence and answered questions related to the investigation. The trial is expected to continue for several more days, with witness testimony and closing arguments from both sides still to come.
